About the Trainer:
Thorsten Kramer brings his extensive knowledge and German training background to each and every horse he rides. Along with his exceptional skill and dedication to correct training, Thorsten is attentive to all details regarding the horse's comfort. His work is always correct, consistent and kind.
Thorsten began his dressage career in his native Germany, where he studied under Christophe Hess while apprenticing at Warnedorf. After moving to the U.S. in 1989, he worked at a large dressage facility in Southern California, where he worked with the Young Rider teams. In 1998, Thorsten relocated to Colorado, where he returned to school and met his wife, Rebecca. The Kramers have been in Virginia since 2006.
Lessons: Attention to detail, a solid foundation based on the Training Scale, and commitment to correct progression are hallmarks of Thorsten's style. Students are able to trailer into the Barboursville, VA facility and learn in either the peaceful indoor or the secluded outdoor arenas, or Thorsten will travel to your facility.
Boarding: Catering to a small number of boarders, Thorsten Kramer Dressage offers individualized care for each horse. All care is provided by Thorsten and his wife Rebecca, an equine veterinarian. Individual turnout, large, bright matted stalls, miles of trails and covered and outdoor arenas make this the perfect setting for the serious dressage rider.
