Common Ford Farm offers a variety of lesson programs suited for every rider. Specializing in Classical Dressage and Hunter/Jumper training, the trainers at CFF pride themselves on tailoring a lesson program for each individual horse and rider; from the young beginner through advanced riders and everyone in between.

Emphasis is placed on the importance of respect between horse and rider and the development of the equine partnership. We believe in starting all riders with basic groundwork and natural horsemanship principles as the foundation of the partnership and through those principles riders understand how it translates in the saddle to achieve noticeable results.

Common Ford Farm offers starting, finishing, tune-ups, problem solving, and other specified training all based on Classical Dressage methods. No matter what your ultimate goal with your equine partner is we give them the tools and the foundation to perform at their absolute best. Owner participation is welcomed and encouraged as the horse progresses through their training.

Horses will be worked 6 days per week (weather permitting) with an outlined routine. While in training, horses are entitled to all the same amenities as our full boarded clients with a turnout schedule, nutrition evaluation, and feeding routine specifically tailored to the needs of the horse. Training of ALL horses will include extensive ground work, arena work, and on-trail training for maximum results.

We recommend an evaluation of your horse and rates for training depend solely upon the extent of the horse’s needs and the length of time that the horse needs to remain in training in our facilities.
